Originally rising to fame as half of All Saints, one of the most successful pop groups of the 1990s, Nicole and Natalie Appleton went on to form the pop duo Appleton after the band’s original record-breaking run of hits which included #1’s ‘Never Ever’, ‘Bootie Call’, ‘Black Coffee’, ‘Under The Bridge/Lady Marmalade’ and ‘Pure Shores’.
Appleton’s debut single ‘Fantasy’ reached No.2 in the UK Single Charts. Their next single ‘Don’t Worry’ reached Top 5 in the UK Charts before the duo released their debut album ‘Everything Eventual’ which charted in the Top 10 and has since been certified Silver in the UK.
All Saints later reformed in 2006, and spent over a decade releasing three new UK charting albums, first supporting Backstreet Boys then Take That on their ‘Wonderland’ tour. They embarked on their ‘Red Flag’ headline tour in 2016 in support of their new top 5 studio album - their first tour in over 15 years, selling out their London KOKO show in under 60 seconds. The girls released their latest album ‘Testament’ in 2018 and went on a national tour around the UK in celebration of the release. In 2020, the band released a cover of ‘Message In A Bottle’ featuring Sting.
In 2023, the Appleton sisters celebrated their 20 year anniversary for their debut album ‘Everything Eventual’ which included the album on vinyl for the first time since its release. More recently, All Saints recently celebrated the 25 year anniversary for their debut album ‘All Saints’ and released the album on vinyl for the first time on National Album Day in 2024.
In their solo endeavours, Nicole Appleton has been working as a regular presenter on Magic Radio since 2022, and has recently started presenting her own show taking listeners on a journey through the best tunes of the 90s every weekend.
Natalie Appleton has recently hosted Sound of the 90s on BBC Radio 2 and was a finalist on ITV’s ‘Masked Singer’ as Fawn.
